acceptance vs resignation

Chip There is a difference between Accepting the circumstances you're in... And Resigning yourself to them. To Accept is to be at Peace... To Resign is to Surrender. To Resign is to give up Hope completely... to feel Defeated, a slave to a Destiny that is beyond your control... To Accept is to Be Real with yourself - to take a good look at WHY things are how they are, and take responsibility for it... And in so doing, grant yourself the RIGHT and the POWER to change your position in life. You have the Power to shape your own Destiny... Now, 5 minutes from now, 5 days, 5 weeks, and 5 years from now. Don't ever Resign yourself to Experiencing anything less than your ideals... Because when you do, you single handedly GUARANTEE that you're destined to keep on having those same experiences. Instead, ACCEPT the way things are. Because when you make Peace with yourself in that way, you start to Appreciate all the beauty you have in your life, even now... And the things you Appreciate... Appreciate.
